Penn Summit is an inexpensive, daylong professional development series for educators, administrators, and others who are interested in important topics concerning equity in P-12 schools, colleges and universities, and social contexts that influence educational opportunity and outcomes. Summit attendees receive research-based tools and practically-useful resources from the Penn Center for the Study of Race & Equity in Education, and benefit from focused conversations with colleagues who are committed to similar issues.

Summit Overview

Beginning at 9:00a, each summit opens with a keynote address from a leading scholar or practitioner on the topic(s) for a particular event. Immediately following, attendees will attend three concurrent sessions with their colleagues to engage nuanced understandings of the summit's chosen theme from faculty affiliates and guest presenters of and researchers from the Center for the Study of Race & Equity in Education.
